The Valkyries

The Northern Lights were once believed to be the light bouncing from the armor of the Valkyries as they carried fallen men from the battlefield to Valhalla. The iridescence of aura crystal represents the lights, with shining sterling silver as the armor, and a diamond of black spinal provides protection for the journey, though one should know better than to fuss with the Valkyrja.
